At the end of 2024, I moved to Akron and got deeply into writing songs again.
After about a year of playing open mics and small rooms in the area, my friend Monte McGuire suggested we record a handful of my new originals just as I had been performing them: spare, real and live.
So, on a cold Saturday in February, we recorded what became the “Ghost Lights” EP at his home in Highland Square. Each song was done live, multiple times, to see what we could capture.
Several weeks later, Mia at Blue Dot Image contacted me about creating some photographs and video together. When she sent her photo selects over, one immediately stood out to me as embodying the look and mood of how these songs sound.
“Ghost Lights” is out everywhere now.
